Two people hit by car on Nassau Street

Two women  visiting Princeton University for a conference were hit by a car yesterday as they crossed a crosswalk.

The Pedestrians were crossing Nassau Street  from the Princeton University side of Nassau Street to the business side of Nassau Street.  While traveling east, the front portion of an Acura struck the women, both from Italy.

One was transported to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro for minor injuries and was released. The other was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for serious injuries that were sustained as a result of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.  No summonses have been issued at this time.
