Colin Simonelli pronounced dead after life-saving efforts made at Community Park Pool

Colin Simonelli, the 24-year-old male resident of Princeton was found unresponsive in the Princeton Community Park Pool by another bather, Saturday around 2 p.m.  Pool personnel initiated life-saving efforts rescuing Mr. Simonelli from the pool and began medical treatment.  The Princeton Police Department along with the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad responded and assisted with lifesaving efforts.

Mr. Simonelli was transported to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro and, later that evening, was pronounced deceased. The matter is currently under investigation by the Princeton Police Department. When further information develops it will be made available in a timely manner.

Municipal officials and staff send their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Simonelli.
