On Sept. 15 at approximately 10:42 p.m., the Princeton Police initiated a missing person investigation. Xufeng Huang had been reported missing by family members and was last seen that day at about 6:30 p.m. An investigation was conducted into her disappearance and a missing person’s report was filed. Huang,a 67-year-old woman from China, was visiting her daughter and unfamiliar with the Princeton area.
On Sept. 17 at approximately 10 a.m., Huang’s body was located by a passerby on the south side of Mercer Road near Gallup Road in a wooded area off of the roadway. Preliminary investigation by this department and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office indicates that Huang was likely struck by a motor vehicle while on Mercer Rd. The exact time of death is unknown at this time. The investigation into the cause of Huang’s death is active and there are no further details available at this time. As more is learned through the investigative process we will provide updates.
